The last week of school means project week at BASIS Independent Manhattan! Project week is an opportunity for students in all grades to work with their peers on multidisciplinary projects and to pursue something they are especially passionate about.
These projects challenge our students to be cooperative learners and to function as a team; they even get to work with peers and teachers in different grade-levels to encourage cross-collaboration. We can't wait to share the amazing things our students and teachers come up with for our inaugural year!
Here are just a few of the projects our incredible students have participated in across our other campuses:
- Developing a business plan for a company
- Learning about the work of Paleontologists and creating fossils
- Lobbying Congress on the Hill on the issues of their choice
- Beautifying the campus by researching and planting gardens
